Forget the Past

Trust the Process

It may seem kind of out there, but the first thing you need to do when starting a new fitness program is "Forget the Past".

This program is going to challenge what you currently know or have heard about fitness. Not to say that those methods don't work, but to get results in this program you have to believe in it wholeheartedly.

We believe that success will come from following the entire system we will provide you with. It is a complete solution and any outside changes may or may not hinder your results.

Allow us to coach you through the process and we promise to deliver you exactly what you want....

You're Not a Kid Any More

Another reason to "Forget the Past", is that what you have done in the past, may not work for you today. If you haven't worked out in several years you will not be able to see results the same way you did in the past.

We commonly see people in the gym doing the same workout or following the same diet they did in High School, expecting their body to adapt the same way it did 10 or 20 years ago. This is physiologically impossible and of course dieting leads to more long term weight problems as well.

Even if you are happy where you are, but are looking to take this to the next level, you need to change. I have not found where I heard this quote, but I find it so relevant to this topic. "Do what you have always done, and you will continue to get the same result".

Hands Off the Rearview Mirror

From a mental standpoint it is also hard to be hung up on the past and move ahead with your fitness goals.

Life's experiences, to a certain degree, have an influence on where you are today, and will shape what you perceive things to be right now.

So, if you had a bad experience doing Push Ups you have a certain idea of what Push Ups mean to you. Pain, embarrassment, whatever you associate it with. In this case, exercise will not be pleasant for you and it will be hard to break out of whatever circumstance you are in.

You may be happy with your circumstances, or you may want to have your life be different.

One thing I am sure of is that you will have to focus on what you can do right now to get what you want. The more we are influenced by our past the harder it is to make a change.
